Casimiro Plantations is not just a place with a history; it's a testament to resilience and adaptation. Established back in 1912, its roots delve deep into the soil of Timor-Leste. Through the ravages of World War II, it stood as a witness to destruction, yet emerged from the ashes, rebuilt from 1945. The period of Indonesian occupation from 1975 to 1999 marked another chapter, one of struggle and perseverance. However, the spirit of the Casimiro family, intertwined with the soil itself, endured, awaiting the dawn of a new era.
With Timor-Leste's declaration of independence came the return of the plantation to the Casimiro Family. Today, nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Emera, Casimiro Plantations stretches across undulating hills and valleys, a vibrant tapestry of greenery reaching towards the sky. Situated at elevations ranging from 1,700 to 1,900 meters above sea level, the plantation enjoys the cool mountain air and fertile soils, ideal conditions for nurturing its botanical treasures.
The plantation has primarily Mocha species, with their rich aroma and distinctive flavor, dominate the landscape, a testament to generations of careful cultivation. Yet amidst the sea of green, hints of Timor Hybrid can also be found. Each leaf tells a story of resilience and growth, embodying the spirit of Casimiro Plantations—a legacy of endurance, renewal, and boundless possibility.
